H.P. Lovecraft: Deep One

Artist's Notes: This is one that I have been putting off uploading both because of the holidays and also because I have a new scanner that is a pain to use and produces lower quality images. This is my interpretation of Lovecraft's deep one, a monster described as having piscine, batrachian and anthropomorphic features. I used Lovecraft's description both of the deep ones themsleves and those of the innsmouth hybrids along with various fish including viperfish, coelocanth, rockfish, and frogfish as reference. Whether or not I will use these guys in my Miskatonic series remains to be seen.
